Coyote's Seven Distractions

"Some of us have learned much in our lifetimes and realize what it is we need to progress up the evolutionary ladder of enlightenment. For those the path is easier, and we know how not to fight the direction. For the majority of us, however we only find the PATH after much difficulty and disillusionment. This usually is not all our doing but rather the responsibility of the cultures into which we are born. Our perceptions are clouded by what we perceive from our experiences and teachings, unfortunately we are being taught by unenlightened beings that are on the path of selfish, self-serving greed. Some of those beings are aware of what they are doing, but the majorities have no idea as they think it is normal and OK to use others to get what they want. Those beings use what I call the Coyote's of Distractions to teach us as a society how to act.
We as potential enlightened beings have to be constantly aware of our perceptions and how they can be easily corrupted by society. We must be aware on a daily, even hourly basis lest we are drawn into those perceptions."

We will explore our relationship with our winged friends and connect to them at a deeper level through traditional Blackfoot Medicine understanding of these creatures and our connection to them. After lunch we will make feather earrings for the women and the men will make feather guardians to protect their land and home. There will be a blessing ritual of the feathers, earrings and guardians followed by pipe ceremony.
What to bring:
· Feather of your choosing and finding
· Email me the feather that you are bringing
· Lunch
· Water
· A lawn chair
· Bug spray
Cost: $25.00 and you will go home with your crafts, a print out of the significance of the feather you chose and a new relationship with our winged brothers and sisters.

WORKING THE BLACKFOOT MEDICINE WHEEL

Work throughout the year with the Medicine Wheel in your life.12 months and 13 lunar cycles Class is accepting applications for this next year. Cost $56 per class plus a minimal fee for any extra materials needed. July 2020 to June 2021 with Vision Quest September 2021 for those who continue on Introduction Meeting: June 2020 between 4- 6 PM July 2020 tp August 2021 Vision Quest September 2020 Location: My house and in the Great Outdoors. (This Location can change depending on the needs of the group) Cost: $75 per session Email: sandhillcrane48@gmail.com You will make a shield, arrows, a medicine pouch, a drum if you do not have one and desire one, feather guardians, a medicine staff and you will create an art piece for your 13 lunar cycles. You will make your own personal medicine wheel of the grandfather's (Stone nation). |
